Thanking God for Cancer

Thanking God for the cancer might sound strange to some people, mostly because of the fear that they have of this disease. I treated a malignant cervica cancer just as an imbalance, nothing more, and nothing less. I knew that I had to act quickly and did so using natural means. I believe thoroughly in the power of love and in the inherent ability of the human body to heal itself when given the best nourishment, rest, support and time.

Christiane Northrup, MD who wrote Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom

I so believe that every woman should have this one book in their library. Dr. Northrup gives us gals a whole different approach to how to take better care of ourselves. She doesn't see us as one big disease, or even little diseases. She encourages us to live and enjoy our lives. Her 84 year old mother is about to hike Mt. Everest. Dr. Northrup also encourages us to receive pleasure, not always being the other way around.

Today, I also took her advice and got a Breast Thermography.

Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging is a 15 minute non invasive test of physiology. It is a valuable procedure for alerting your doctor to changes that can indicate early stages of disease. DITI detects the subtle physiologic changes that accompany breast pathology, whether it is cancer, fibrocystic disease, an infection or a vascular disease.

I will get the final results in a few days, but in general all looked well. I will also do a follow up in 3 months to see any changes.

Healing Cancer Naturally by Jill Ayn Schneider

In February, 1975, I was diagnosed with malignant cervical cancer - "Class Five: conclusive for malignancy."

It’s funny. There I was, young and seemingly healthy, listening to my doctor describe something hidden within my own body that had the power to kill me - or at the very least to substantially change me. I was told that I might need a hysterectomy - the removal of my cervix and uterus, and perhaps my ovaries as well. This protocol seemed painful, complicated, and disharmonious with nature.

Instead of Western Medicine, I chose Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. I also incorporated Macrobiotics, a natural diet and lifestyle system, which restores an energetic balance and wellness through diet and lifestyle changes. It was about getting to the source of the issue. After another test with improved results, I quit a stressful job and off I went for four months to hike and live in the jungles of Venezuela and the mountains of Peru.

I returned home to Miami in June. The cancer was gone.

Two years later I gave birth to my son, who has now made me a grandmother. Cancer swept me into a reality of how temporary and precious it is to have a human body.
